6-Weeks In

June 5th, 2024

Well folks, 6-weeks after we launched the PickupPortal.com, we’ve hit a major milestone. More than 1,000 Players have registered for our service! We’ve received several comments and suggestions about how to improve the website and we’re logging each one. When we launch our next revision of the site, we will incorporate as many as possible. We want the site to be as user friendly and intuitive as possible.

Not only have the registrations grown at an incredible rate, but we’re being invited to participate as a vendor at some Tournament locations. Grand Slam Sports has invited us to setup at their 20th Anniversary World Series in Panama City Beach, FL! We gladly accepted and will be attending their 1st week – June 17th – 22nd. We’re not only setting up a Tent and Table, but we’re bringing some fun too!

We’re bringing our 12′ wide, 10′ tall, 24′ long Batting Cage and our Pocket Radar Smart Coach. We will be having an Exit Velo competition for each Age Group: 8U – 14U. The highest Exit Velo (off a Tee) wins a special prize at the end of the week! To enter the competition, just Register for the Free 2-week Trial on our website!

We’re also having a really nice Giveaway for 1 Lucky Winner! A very nice Arctic Cooler, Ryobi Fan, heavy-duty Ballpark Wagon, 2 Chairs and more! All you have to do to sign up for our Premium Subscription on the website and use the Promo Code we will release at the Tournament. We’ll do the drawing on Thursday, June 20th and the Winner can pick up their Prizes on Friday, June 21st!

Amazing participation

May 2nd, 2024

2-weeks after we Soft launched, more than 70 Teams and nearly 500 Players (Parents) have signed up. We knew we weren’t alone in our frustration with how ineffective the old method of Picking Up was. We know we aren’t the 1st people to have this idea. Perhaps we aren’t even the 1st people to act on that idea and build a site (or App) like this. What makes us different is our passion for youth sports and helping Parents support their Athletes desire to play more. Other’s who’ve tried this approach before were likely focused on their Player or their Team and not the overall community. Our own son is nearly aged out of Travelball (he’s playing 16U this summer). So we’re building this service to support other Parents who are earlier in their journey. So they don’t have some of the same frustrations that we had. We hope that you will continue to support this website and share it with your circle of influence.
