WE LOVE TRAVEL BALL!

Our youngest son was invited to join a Team at 10 years old. He loved it and we were hooked! That was a long time ago and we never looked back. We've now been involved with Travel Ball for 6 years. We've been part of "Ring Chasers", "Developmental" and "Competitive" Teams. Each one has taught our son (and us) a which type of Team is better suited for him and his work ethic; as well as us and how we manage our expectations as parents. What we learned about Ring Chasing: Easy Wins are fun in the moment, but not fulfilling over the long run. Developmental Teams have their place and some Athletes need to spend more time here than others. Competitive Teams are the hardest to get on the Roster, but win or lose, they are most fulfilling for an Athlete who is consistently working at honing their craft. We learned that allowing our son to choose which type of Team he wants to play for shows us the type of Athlete he wants to be. It's our duty to provide him with the resources (that we can afford) to support his journey, while keeping him focused on the things he can control: Attitude and Effort. Travel Ball has been emotionally rewarding for him and us. We love it!
